About Lois

Lois Phillips is a dynamic experienced public speaker whose clients say she “practices what she teaches.” Her academic background combines with executive experience to inform her training and coaching. Using principles gained from interviews with successful speakers and outlined in “Women Seen and Heard: Lessons Learned from Successful Speakers” she provides coaching and training to spokespersons, managers and executives.

Dr. Phillips has a special interest in Glass Ceiling programs advancing women’s careers, and cultivating women’s Board leadership. She has produced conferences on women’s leadership, produced and moderated two television programs about women’s changing roles, and has years of conference presentations that complement her academic research. Provided research and consultation to single campus district with regard to restructuring the organization and strategic planning. Involved facilitation of strategic planning task force, conducting an organizational audit, providing support to the President and executive management with regard to a change process, and teambuilding. Research involved a focus on qualitative methodology to identify themes and issues, providing recommendations to the Board for new structures, and using electronic technology to create a Webpage in order to improve campus-wide communication with regard to both endeavors.
